For a small town, Bryson City has quite a variety of restaurant choices — from southern home cooking and hickory-smoked barbeque — to gourmet meals, or ethnic foods like Italian, Mexican or Chinese. All are listed below.

There are Nantahala Gorge restaurants where you can watch whitewater rafting riverside, or have a quick lunch before trying your own hand at rafting.

You'll find Bryson City restaurants that serve family style, buffet-style, or in an intimate and romantic setting. You can dine indoors by candlelight or at a sidewalk café, or just pop into one of our fast food restaurants. We've even got an old-fashioned family run drive-in.

After dinner, you may find specialty coffees or after dinner drinks to go with a wide variety of desserts. Or just enjoy an ice cream at the soda shop. And if you're planning a group event, some Bryson City restaurants cater or have banquet facilities for weddings, receptions, and meetings.

Our Smoky Mountain restaurants are one hour west of Asheville, just three hours from Atlanta and Charlotte, and two hours from Greenville, Knoxville and Chattanooga.
