spacer Ronnie Milsap: Born in Robbinsville, NC in 1945, Ronnie Milsap rose to the top of the country music world in the 1970s. Raised with mountain music of the Carolina hills, but trained in classical piano, Milsap began his career in the '60s with a stint in J.J. Cale's band. From there, through his work with Elvis Presley on "Don't Cry Daddy" and "Kentucky Rain," Milsap began building a head of steam, and when he started cranking out his own hits-songs like "What a Difference You've Made in My life," "It Was Almost Like a Song," "Smoky Mountain Rain," and "I Wouldn't Have Missed it for the World"-through the 70s and 80s, Milsap became an "overnight" sensation. He ranks as one of the most influential artists of his generation, with 40 No.1 hits to go along with six Grammys and at least a dozen CMA awards.

spacer Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall: The Moving Wall is a traveling half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. Since 1984 the moving wall has travelled to hundreds of sites around the country, allowing even greater numbers to experience the memorial. The wall bears 58,253 names, including approximately 1,300 names of those unaccounted for and considered missing in action. Thousands visit the moving wall each year to find the names of loved ones and pay tribute to those who served.

"Spooky Story Time" will beginn at 6:30pm and will feature a short tale read by Ms. Ellen, and there will also be a guest reader and a short skit. Children are encouraged to come in costume for a contest that will award ribbons for various categories. Drop in any time, games and prizes will be going on the entire length of the event. The spooky carnival is geared toward elementary and younger middle schoolers, but all ages are welcome.
