PaddleFish Kayaking provides guided calm water lake kayaking tours along the shores of the Lake Fontana. Bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the lake provides more than 240 scenic miles of habitat, which support bald eagles, river otter, deer, and black bear. The Nantahala River holds the title of "most favorite" for whitewater enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Since the early 1960’s, young summer campers, families, paddling clubs, and students of all ages have come to enjoy the river’s Class II-III rapids; as have Olympic-bound athletes who use the river to train for gold.

The appeal of the scenic Nantahala River is its pristine water, the quality of whitewater, and the community of participants — a community where often is found three generations of paddlers out enjoying the magic of the river.
