Annual Swain county Heritage Festival. Friday evening is Southern Gospel Music night and everyone can join in a sing-a-long at the end. Saturday - Memorial Day Ceremony featuring veterans. Then the music starts and lasts all day! Bluegrass, country, folk, and little bit of everything! The crowd gathers at noon for the kids' burlap sack races and a log-sawing contest with an antique cross-cut saw, with prizes and bragging rights. Clogging by Jubilee Mountain Cloggers. Kids Activities, bounce houses, face painting. Vendor booths, handmade crafts, art, wood carvings, pottery, basketry, and more! Festival food - Kettle Korn, Funnel Cakes, BBQ, and more.
